A Quick Sunday Read and a bit about Love at First Sight

Hi Reader!

A day of rest, relaxation, and replenishing the mind and soul. It's necessary, isn't it?

In the midst of doing just that I stumbled into this movie, fell in love and just had to share.

Also, in the vein of replenishing, I'm rereading this piece on Thought Changer:

Be Kind to Your Mind

As always, would love to hear your thoughts.

So, to the movie. Romantic comedies are a dime a dozen unless they're done right, with a light hand, a contained timeline, and smart, witty dialogue. When it happens it's a lovely surprise, it feels fresh and, for me, it invokes feelings of hope, love, belief in fate, and a good ole "neck cry" as my friend Kelly calls it. This is one of those.

"Love at First Sight," based on the novel, "The Statistical Odds of Love at First Sight" by Jennifer E Smith, is about two strangers who, by a twist of fate, meet on a flight to London. They're smitten kittens until, by another twist of fate, they get separated after landing. Their journey and what happens next are compelling, real, and touching.

Perfect for a restful Sunday.

Journal Prompt

Have you experienced twists of fate? What happened? Recall it with your wisdom of today. What did you learn? Write about it in your journal.

I hope you have a great week filled with moments of love, first sight or otherwise. And, kindness.

Keep creating, abundantly,

PS. No doubt you receive loads of emails in your daily inbox. You got this message because you signed up for something previously (newsletter, free download, workshop, etc.). I love having you and will always try to provide some takeaways for your week, even if it's just a thought to noodle over!

While we're on the topic of your inbox, if you could do us both a favor and move this email to your inbox, if it landed somewhere else (like promotions), and/or whitelist my email address -- because I want to be in the box where your friends go, not the one with the unopened offers. :) Thank you!

That being said, if this isn't your thing, I won't take it personally if you want to unsubscribe or change your preference at the bottom of this email.

Hey Reader! Thank you for being here. More to the point thank you for receiving me into your inbox. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly. You’ll see some slight changes to my correspondence in the coming weeks. I’m consolidating my newsletter and blog onto Substack. It’s a big change for me as I’ve had my blog Thought Changer at its current location for the last 15 years. It feels time to change it up and bring things under one roof in a place with a ready and engaging community for both...

Hey Reader! Every day is a day for love. This week contains THE day of love, according to St. Valentine and card designers at Hallmark. Perhaps celebrating Valentine's Day does cause us to think about love, to express love, to feel love, all the more. If it does, yay. I was blessed to share time this week with the full extension of my nucleus family. What a joy! Four generations all together. It was the first time we have all gathered since the birth of my two great-nephews in August and...

Hey Reader! Special moments highlighted this past week. I spent a sweet afternoon with my parents which included giving my mother a manicure as she prepared for a special event. It was sweet and joyful for both of us. Her hands are feminine and graceful. As I carefully applied the gel polish I recalled a lifetime of watching her hands sew, knit, paint, play the piano, garden, arrange flowers, dance, teach, type, stir and bake, set tables, design, guide, discipline, caress, love, and age....
